Chicglet Brings Korean Snacks to the U-District

Seattle’s University District has a new Korean spot that’s been gaining popularity with their fried food and drinks. Chicglet even has these super cool food trays that sit right on the drinks. Recently, my Seattle Foodie Podcast co-host Nelson Lau and I were invited by Garrett, a.k.a. @illeatists for a tasting!

The Spread

We tried potstickers, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, and rice cake gang jeung to start. Fried chicken and pork gang jeung are the stars of the show! It’s easy to put together a drink combo with boneless fried chicken, boneless pork, or chicken wings.

Wings come in different flavors like spicy, soy sauce, parsley parmesan, and mozzarella.

If you need some greens to balance out the fried goodness, you can always get a salad and choose chicken, pork, or mozzarella to top it off. The mustard based dressing is delicious!

Pork Gang Jeung Salad

Before I visited here, the fruit sodas caught my eye. I got to try mango and strawberry and they were carbonated lighted and made with fresh fruit. Then I tasted the blueberry milky soda and my mind was blown! It’s creamy, full of fresh blueberries, and has a bit of carbonated kick. Yum!

Mango Soda Combo

Chicglet is a solid addition to the Ave! The milky sodas are unique and and although it’s hard to pick a favorite I’d say mine are the parsley parmesan wings and pork gang jeung. Thanks to Garrett for arranging the tasting and to Chicglet for the hospitality!
