Isarn Thai Soul Kitchen has locations in Kirkland, Lynnwood, and now Ravenna. Ample street parking is a welcome change of pace and a definite perk. Currently, restaurants are open at 50% dining capacity. Isarn Thai has a covered waiting area outside, whether you’re dining in or picking up takeout. The dining room is rather large with nooks and crannies that make it possible to comfortably distance from other diners. There’s also a cozy bar with a fireplace in the back.

Enthusiastic staff members greet and seat you in the dining room. Start your meal with a fresh coconut or refreshing Thai iced tea. The Lamb Satay Skewers with peanut dipping sauce and cucumber salad is a nice starter. The Australian lamb is tender from being marinated and cooked to perfection. The peanut sauce is silky while the cucumber salad offers a fresh bite.

Chiang Mai Curry Noodles, also known as khao soi, is an exceptional dish. Wavy egg noodles and tender chicken thighs are simmered in a spicy curry soup. It’s topped with a nest of crispy egg noodles and served with pickled mustard, red onions, lime and chili oil. It’s easily one of the best in Seattle with an invigorating spice level and heavenly combination of ingredients.

One of the best deals on the menu is the Isarn Set with a large portion of Hat Yai Chicken, Thai Green Papaya Salad and a side of Sticky Rice. The Southern Thai fried chicken is topped with fragrant fried garlic and shallots, adding a lovely texture to the dish. The Papaya Salad adds a nice punch of flavor and freshness while the Sticky Rice is all about comfort. At just $10.95 on the lunch menu, you’ll leave with a full belly.
