Natural Wine Awaits You At La Dive

A few weeks ago, I was invited to the friends and family preview of La Dive, a new wine focused bar on Capitol Hill. The wines are organic and low intervention.

Selection of wine and frozen drinks

The wines were delicious and I was partial to the rosés and sparkling wines. The night was lively with frozen drinks like the frojolais (beaujolais, raspberry, campari) and the chambong, a champagne bong that can be filled with bubbles or Miller High Life.

Do you Chambong?

The menu consists of elevated bar food like roasted cauliflower served with mustard cream, golden raisins, caraway, and tumeric. They have lovely selection of toasts all served on toasted Macrina rye. The star of the show was the toast with Olympia Provisions kielbasa, cucumber, horseradish, and celery. The pork dumplings with butter, vinegar, sour cream and dill was addicting. Who can resist a dumpling? Not me.

Now, I typically don’t talk about bathrooms but honestly, this one is worthy. Dark, red tones fill the single stall which is wall to wall mirrors, which reminds me of the Infinity Mirrors exhibit. It’s the perfect place for late night selfies (guilty).

A bathroom selfie is a must!

Overall, La Dive provides a laid back atmosphere and wine that is very accessible to anyone. I’m looking forward to visiting regularly in the future. Special thanks to La Dive and Coven Productions for the invite!
