Uneeda Burger is a neighborhood burger shack with the perfect patio for summertime feels. Chef Scott Staples is the owner of the restaurant which has been open for 9 years. While known for their burgers, they also have sandwiches, salads, sides, and shakes. It’s a great place to find specials and a good meat selection which goes beyond beef. Recently, my Seattle Foodie Podcast co-host Nelson Lau and I dropped by for dinner.
We ordered the Big Star, Elk Burger, Sweet Potato fries, Onion Rings, and Tempura Asparagus. Nelson had the Huckleberry Shake which was fresh and delicious, made with Snoqualmie Ice Cream!
The Elk Burger was my favorite. It was lean and flavorful. The meat texture was tender. It wasn’t overly “gamey” but had a subtle game flavor. The tempura asparagus was another favorite! The asparagus was firm inside the tempura batter. I was glad to see it held up well and wasn’t soggy. Dipped in one of Uneeda’s signature sauces, I couldn’t stop eating them!
Crispy onions, bacon, cheddar, coleslaw, roasted fresno chili, bbq sauce
Sherried morels, watercress, manchego cheese, pickled shallots, herbed aioli
